Go on an adventure through some of the hidden treasures in the Iguazú National Park with this activity that combines hiking with either kayaking or paddle surfing on the Iguazu River.
Iguazu River Kayaking or Paddle Surfing + Hiking
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu or meet you on Alameda de Caete Street. From there, we'll start our 1-mile (1.4-kilometre) hike along the Trilha do Índio Trail.
We'll spend 45 minutes admiring the fauna and flora of the Atlantic rainforest, so keep your eyes peeled for parrots, harpy eagles and armadillos! When we reach the end of our hiking route, we'll find ourselves on the shores of Iguazu River. We'll then set off on a 1-hour trip on a kayak or a paddleboard - it's up to you!
During the activity, we'll have a radius of 1.2 miles (2 kilometres) within which we can paddle through the lush vegetation that grows along the river. You'll be able to relax and unwind as you listen to the peaceful sounds of nature in the rainforest.
Following the activity, we'll leave our equipment behind and get ready to return to the starting point. On our way back, we'll come across a hidden waterfall where we can cool off.
If you've chosen the tour with pick up, we'll take you back to your hotel in Foz when we return to the starting point.
Schedule
The pick up schedule is as follows:
- Activity at 9 am: Pick up will take place between 8 am and 9 am.
- Activity at 2 pm: Pick up will take place between 1 pm and 2 pm.
This tour includes pick up from all hotels in Foz do Iguaçu, except Belmond Hotel das Cataratas. If you're staying here, we'll contact you to let you know when you'll need to be ready at the entrance of the Iguaçu National Park.
