On this tour to Ciudad del Este, discover all the highlights and charms of this unique Paraguayan city that's connected to Brazil by a bridge.
Ciudad del Este Tour
Between 6:45 and 7:45 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu, and at 8 am we'll set off to Ciudad del Este. In about 20 minutes, we'll have crossed the border with Paraguay and will arrive at our destination.
First, we'll pass by the famous Club Atlético 3 de Febrero stadium, where we'll learn about the history of its promotion to the Second Division of Paraguay. Then, we'll stop in front of the Palace of Justice and the East Mosque. The latter is considered one of the largest mosques in all of South America.
Our next stop will take us to see the exterior of the Cathedral of San Blas, which was built in 1964. Its shape is reminiscent of that of a ship - why is that? We'll find out on this tour!
Then we'll go to the Monday River waterfalls, where we'll enjoy an impressive view of three 45-meter-high waterfalls. This location was of great importance for the pre-Hispanic Guarani settlements.
Anyone hungry? We'll take you to the Mara steakhouse so you can enjoy a delicious lunch on your own consisting of different barbecue dishes.
Lastly, we'll be back at your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu about 6 hours later.
Hotel pickup
The tour includes pickup at all hotels in Foz do Iguaçu, with the exception of the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas. If you're staying there, we'll contact you to let you know the time you should be at the entrance of the Iguaçu National Park.
