Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time at the Córrego Grande neighborhood association. After a brief introduction to the route, we'll walk to the entrance of the trail, located in the Macizo da Costeira Municipal Natural Park.
Our journey begins with an 800-meter (0.5 mi) walk through lush nature, leading us to a breathtaking waterfall. Along the way, we'll talk about the Atlantic Forest, as well as the history of Santa Catarina Island. As we walk, we’ll observe local wildlife, from vibrant birds to other fascinating forest inhabitants, while navigating across rocks and streams.
Before you know it, we'll arrive at the waterfall and its natural pool, where you can take a refreshing dip and take incredible pictures! If you’ve brought snacks, this is an ideal spot for a picnic, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. After a moment of relaxation and appreciation, we’ll begin our return journey.
Finally, after a total of 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) of walking, we'll make our way back to the starting point, where we’ll wrap up our adventure with a farewell toast and share local tips on things to do in the neighborhood. Here, we'll bring our experience to an end after 2 hours. See you next time!
