Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Florianópolis early in the morning and head towards the northern part of the state of Santa Catarina. After a little more than an hour's drive, we'll make our first stop in São João Batista.
This town is known for having more than 150 shoe factories! We'll visit a traditional market with local products to discover its fame.
We'll then continue our trip to Nova Trento, one of the Brazilian municipalities with the greatest Austrian, German, Polish, and Italian influence, due to the great flow of immigration it received at the end of the 19th century.
Towards the middle of the day, we'll take a well-deserved break and refuel at a typical Italian restaurant (lunch not included). Then, returning to our tour, we'll visit the main attraction of the town, the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, the first Brazilian saint. This monumental sanctuary is one of the most visited in the entire state of Santa Catarina and no wonder!
We'll leave the sanctuary to visit a vineyard, where we'll learn about the wines of Nova Trento, as well as a chocolate factory. We'll tell you all about what makes these products so special during the tour!
Finally, we'll go to Brusque, a perfect place for shopping. We'll take you to FIP (Feira da Moda), a place with hundreds of stores for all tastes. You'll have about two hours of free time to go shopping at your leisure.
We'll return to Florianópolis at approximately 5 pm.
