Day Trip to Yaxhá
To start the tour, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Flores and head to the Mayan city of Yaxhá, located in the jungle of the Guatemalan Petén. After about an hour and a half drive, we'll enter the Mayan ruins, where you'll discover one of the largest urban centers of this ancient civilization.
Accompanied by an expert guide in the history of the Maya, you'll learn some of their legends, their rich culture, and the symbolic meaning of each temple we visit.
We'll visit the Minor Astronomical Complex, the Temple of the Red Hand, the Twin Pyramids, the Acropolis, and the Plaza of the Columns, among other must-see sites in the area.
After enjoying a tour of Yaxhá, you can relax and buy some lunch if you wish at El Portal de Yaxhá restaurant, located in the middle of the jungle. Finally, we'll head over to a point of Yaxhá to contemplate an unforgettable sunset, the finishing touch to the tour!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Flores and arrive after a total of 8 hours.
