At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Flores and drive to Ixpanpajul Natural Park, one of the most fascinating biosphere reserves in Guatemala. Ready for an amazing hiking tour?
As soon as we arrive, we'll enter the dense vegetation to hike for about 3 kilometers (1.8 miles). During our hike, we'll cross up to six hanging bridges surrounded by tropical forests where hundreds of birds dwell. If we're lucky, we may spot a quetzal - keep an eye out for the treetops!
Then, we'll reach Miramas Hill, a high point from where we'll enjoy extraordinary views of the Peten Izta Lake. Its extension is 99 square kilometers (2,222 acres) and on the shore of the lake different indigenous communities coexist. Did you know that this is the third largest lake in the country?
We'll head back to Flores, where you'll arrive at your hotel between 11 am and 12 pm, ending the tour.
