Florence Walking Tour
We will meet at the scheduled time in the breathtaking city center of Florence and set off together to explore this Renaissance city, every step of the way learning more about the Medici family and Florentine history from your English-speaking guide.
Your expert guide will first take you to the most important symbol of the city, Saint Mark's Basilica, and explain its history to you, then you'll head to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore where the Baptistery, Brunelleschi's Dome, and Giotto's Campanile await you. Right next to the Duomo, the guide will show you Dante's house as well as the Bargello.
Then it's on to the Fontana del Porcellino, the famous statue of a bronze boar that can bring you luck if you stroke its (well-worn!) nose. You will continue to Piazza della Signoria and Loggia dei Lanzi to admire the beauty of the Palazzo Vecchio: discover the history of the palace and admire the open-air museum of the Loggia. You will then see the Vasari Corridor from outside before arriving at the last stop; the Ponte Vecchio.
Finally, after strolling through countless piazzas and narrow winding cobblestone streets, our walking tour of Florence will come to an end between 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes after the start.
