Sant’Ambrogio Market Food Tour
Sant’Ambrogio Market Food Tour
We'll depart from Via dei Tavolini at 9:30 am to immerse ourselves in the smells and flavours of Tuscany. Taking advantage of the morning, we'll start this gastronomic tour with a typical "al bancone" coffee and a sweet.
After recharging our batteries with an espresso, we'll head for the Loggia del Pesce, the portico under which the San Ambrogio market is located. We'll stroll among the fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese and fish stalls as we watch the Florentines shopping.
Our next stop will be at a wine bar, where we'll have a tasting of Tuscan wines, and then we'll continue walking through the charming streets of the historic centre of Florence.
We'll arrive at All'Antico Vinaio, a historic place where we'll be served a delicious schiacciata, their flatbread speciality. It's been awarded as one of the best flatbread sandwiches in the world - and with good reason! And best of all, we'll skip the endless queues at the entrance to enjoy this delicacy.
We'll continue strolling through Florence passing by Michelangelo's house, Santa Croce and Signoria squares, to finish the tour with a glass of Chianti wine, the most famous wine in Tuscany. From here we'll return to the meeting point, but not before making one last stop for a sweet treat - it's a surprise!
We'll finish the tour at the starting point at 12 pm.
