Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the Villa Constanza bus terminal on the outskirts of Florence, and once everyone has arrived, we’ll begin our excursion. First stop: Monteriggioni!
Here, you’ll have 40 minutes of free time to grab breakfast or recharge before we head to a local winery. There, we’ll enjoy our first tasting of Tuscan specialties: three glasses of wine, olive oil, and fresh bread.
Next, we’ll head to Pienza, often called the “ideal city” for its perfect blend of Renaissance harmony and architectural beauty, designed by Pope Pius II. You’ll have an hour and 20 minutes of free time to explore at your own pace, with highlights like the Corso Rossellino’s palaces and the stunning 15th-century Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral.
Our next stop is Montepulciano, where you'll have 1 hour and 45 minutes to admire the grand Renaissance buildings and churches. Fun fact: scenes from New Moon in the Twilight Saga were filmed here! We’ll also visit a local winery, where you'll learn about the region's most prestigious wines, including the renowned Brunello. Enjoy a tasting of four wines, paired with local delicacies.
We’ll conclude the day by returning to the starting point after an 11.5-hour adventure.
