Description

At 6 am, our high-speed train will depart from Santa Maria Novella station in Florence, arriving in Naples at 9:15 am.

At Naples Central Station, a minibus will be waiting to take you to Mount Vesuvius, one of the most famous volcanoes in Italy. As we ascend the volcano via minibus, we'll admire views of the breathtaking Bay of Naples, as well as the archaeological site of Pompeii - a city famously buried by the eruption of this volcano in 79 AD.

Once we arrive at the summit, we'll meet with an expert in volcanology, who will share their knowledge relating to all things Mount Vesuvius, including volcanic activity, flora and fauna. We'll also see solidified lava from the volcano's last eruption.

After our tour of the summit, we'll return via minibus back to Naples, before taking the train to Florence, where we'll arrive at 6:11 pm.
