Aurland and Lærdal Valley Tour
At the time indicated, we'll meet at the Mall of Norway shopping centre. Here, we'll board a minibus that will take us to explore the charming town of Aurland and the Lærdal Valley. Let's explore the beauty that surrounds Flåm!
We'll start our route by heading to the viewpoint in Stegastein. On clear days, you can have a fabulous view of the fiord in Aurland, one of the most spectacular in the world. Peaks over 1400 metres (4590 feet) tall have also been declared World Heritage Sites in this area.
Afterwards, we'll return to the vehicle and continue admiring the Norweigan nature in Aurlandsfjellet, a landscape characterised by its fiords and multiple mountains. We'll make various stops to take photos before entering Lærdal Valley.
Then, we'll arrive in Lærdalsøyri, a small town that dates back to the Middle Ages and is home to one of the largest markets in Norway. You'll love its cute wooden houses, many of which date back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
Next up... the church in Borgund! It's one of the best-preserved wooden churches in the country. In addition, it's the perfect combination of Viking and Christian architecture. You can delve into its history by visiting the visitor centre and having a snack or drink in the cafe if you wish!
We'll start our return route to Flåm by going through the Lærdal tunnel, one of the longest in the world. It's 24.5 kilometres (15 miles) long!
Finally, after 5 hours of exploring, we'll end the tour at the initial meeting point.
