Our journey begins by exploring the heart of Firgas, where we'll marvel at the San Roque church and delve into the history of the irrigation channel. From there, we'll pause at a viewpoint to soak in breathtaking panoramic views that stretch from the coastline to the island's peaks.
As we continue, we'll descend into the Azuaje ravine. En route, we'll uncover the remnants of a spa once frequented by English visitors in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As we navigate this terrain, we'll cross streams & varying terrain.
Emerging from the ravine, we'll encounter the local agriculture and livestock, gaining insights into their unique characteristics. Our return journey to Firgas will lead us through the village center, where we'll visit the Paseo de Canarias. This picturesque slope features stone replicas of the Canary Islands and the heraldic shields of each island. Next up is the Paseo de Gran Canaria, where we'll admire the coats of arms of all the island's municipalities alongside an artificial waterfall.
After a captivating four and a half hours of exploration, our hiking trip will conclude back at the starting point.
