Would you like to discover the natural heritage of the Quindío region? In this bird-watching activity in the Barbas Bremen nature reserve, we'll discover the great biodiversity of this area of Colombia.
Description
At 8 am we'll meet in the Vereda Lusitana de Filandia and enter the Barbas Bremen nature reserve to learn about its flora and fauna. Let's start our bird-watching tour!
Before we start our walk, we'll have a delicious Colombian coffee and talk about the history of the reserve, as well as all of the work that has been done to make it home to great biodiversity.
We'll enjoy a walk through the trails of the reserve and see the particular elements of the Quindío region. Along the way, we'll make stops to watch the birds of Barbas Bremen, such as hummingbirds, tanagers, woodpeckers, streak-headed woodcreepers, warblers, and migratory birds that fly over the park.
Afterwards, we'll go to the reserve's restaurant so you can pickup breakfast. With newfound energy, we'll continue our walk through Barbas Bremen in search of other birds, will we find the toucans? We sure will!
During the tour, we can also meet other animals that live in the reserve, such as howler monkeys, otters, deer or amphibians like the big-headed frog or the quimbaya harlequin. Before we wrap up the activity, we'll leave you some time to enjoy lunch nearby.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at the meeting point after 6 hours of fun.
