Embark on a private walking tour of the magical Fes el Bali, the old medina of Fez, accompanied by a professional English-speaking guide.
Fez Medina Private Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet you at your hotel or riad located in the Medina of Fez and start discovering this fascinating Moroccan city.
During this private walking tour of Fez, we'll walk through the most important alleys of the city. The old Medina dates back to the 8th century and comprises more than 300 quarters and 9000 alleys, forming a network of streets in which only the Fesi know how to find their way around.
We'll pass through such emblematic places of Fez as the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate or the Medersa Bou Inania. We'll also walk along the famous Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seguira streets. In addition, we'll visit the oldest residential districts of the medina (the Andalus district and the Quaraouin district). In these districts, we'll see their fountains, mosques, hammams, ovens, and "msids" or old kindergartens.
Of course, we'll also stop at the 3 main monuments of Fez: the Mausoleum of Mulay Idris, the Al Karaouine Mosque, and the Mausoleum of Sidi Ahmed al-Tijani. In addition, we'll visit the Chouwara tannery, and we'll go into the numerous popular souks of the city, where we'll find a great variety of products in the stalls.
Afterwards, we'll go to Seffarine Square and walk through the picturesque streets of the Andalusian Quarter of Fez, one of the most amazing areas of the Moroccan city.
Finally, after a tour of approximately 3.5 hours, we'll conclude our private tour of Fez by walking back to your hotel or riad in the city. If you prefer, we can also end the tour in a central location.
Pickup
This tour will only pick you up at the hotels or riads located inside the Medina. If you're staying outside this area, we'll meet you at the El Batha Hotel.
