Description
Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud - Merzouga
Once we collect you from your hotel or riad in Fez, we'll make our way towards the Merzouga Desert. On the way, we'll pass through locations such as Ifrane, nicknamed the Moroccan Switzerland. Do you know how it came to be called this? We'll also have the chance to visit the charming landscapes of Azrou.
The tour will continue by traversing the Ziz valley and gorges until we reach Erfoud. That evening, we'll enjoy a camel ride through the Merzouga desert. You'll adore the landscape! If you wish, you can also enjoy an optional quad tour.
After having a delicious meal, we'll rest up at the Haimas Camp until the following day.
Day 2: Merzouga – Todgha Gorge – Dadès Gorge
The next day will begin atop the Merzouga dunes at sunrise. Photo time! Afterwards, we'll enjoy breakfast and continue our route towards the famous Todgha Gorge. The impressive landscape here will leave you speechless.
Before bringing the second day to a close, we'll make our way to the incredible Dadès Gorge, where we'll grab a bite to eat and rest for the evening in a nearby hotel until the following day.
Day 3: Dadès Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh
We'll have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and once we've finished we'll begin our journey towards Ouarzazate. There, we'll explore its outskirts and visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Movie lovers will instantly recognize this location!
You'll have free time here for lunch and to take some photos, and then we'll continue this tour by passing through Amazigh villages that lie in the foothills of the Atlas mountain range. Did you know that this is one of the most famous mountain ranges in Morocco?
Finally, at around 6 pm, we'll arrive in Marrakesh
Pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels in Fez. However, if you're staying within the Medina, please make your way to the Blue Gate (Bab Bou Jeloud), where your guide will meet you.
Accommodation
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between staying at the types of accommodation: Standard (2 or 3 stars) or Superior (4 stars).
Standard Accommodation:
- Merzouga Desert (first night): standard haimas camping
- Dadés Gorge (second night): Hotel Babylon, Kasbah Tifawen, Auberge Panorama or similar.
Superior Accommodation:
- Merzouga Desert (first night): superior Haimas camping
- Dadés Gorge (segunda noche): Hotel Babylon, Kasbah Tifawen, Auberge Panorama or similar.
Types of Bedrooms
Both at the hotels and the desert encampments, there's no possibility of having a single room, only doubles. If you reserve as a single person or someone in a group who wants a single room, an additional fee will be charged.
If you prefer, there are also triple rooms and family rooms. The standard category rooms have communal showers at the encampment, while the superior category rooms come with a private bathroom and showers at the haimas camp. As well as this, please keep in mind that air conditioning at the luxurious encampments comes with an additional cost of around € 30 (US$ 32.30) per person.
