Pamukkale & Ephesus 2-Day Tour
Day 1: Fethiye – Ephesus – Pamukkale
At 6:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Fethiye and start this 2-day tour of Pamukkale and Ephesus.
Before visiting the site of Ephesus, we'll stop for breakfast. We'll then enter this ancient Greco-Roman city full of monumental gems. We'll explore Ephesus and admire fascinating places such as Hadrian's Temple and the Library of Celsus, one of the most important bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire.
Another place that'll catch your attention will be the Roman Theater, which is said to have had a capacity for over 2,000 people in its heyday. Also, near this area is the house of the Virgin Mary where, according to Catholic tradition, the mother of Christ settled after the crucifixion of her son.
Afterward, we'll go to a restaurant so you can have lunch on your own. We'll then go to the hotel in Pamukkale, where we'll have dinner and enjoy a belly dancing show.
Day 2: Pamukkale – Fethiye
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to Turkey's famous cotton castle. We'll explore the natural pools of Pamukkale, admiring its characteristic whitish color. After visiting this magical place, we will head to the archaeological complex of Hierapolis.
We'll discover the ruins of this World Heritage Site, as well as the ancient Roman theater and Cleopatra's pool - can you believe that this is where the famous Egyptian queen once bathed? Ready for a dip yourself?
Then, you'll have free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant and we'll take you to a carpet factory to see firsthand how these silk and wool textiles are prepared. Lastly, we'll drop you off at your hotel in Fethiye at approximately 7 pm.
