Benagil Cave Paddle Surf
Paddle Surf Details
We'll meet in front of the train station in Faro at the designated time. From here, we'll set off in a minibus toward the Benagil Cave. The Algarve's most famous marine grottos await!
Upon arrival at this 16-million-year-old sea cavern, we'll gear up with all the necessary equipment. Once we're ready with our paddle, paddleboard, and life jacket, we'll start to paddle surf through the Benagil Cave. As you sail through this area in southern Portugal, you'll admire the limestone that characterizes this cave up close.
This paddle surf activity will last approximately 30 minutes, where you'll border the entrance to this cave. Depending on your experience, you can row sitting on your knees or standing up. It isn't as hard as it looks! We'll provide the best tips so that you can enjoy this fun experience.
After finishing our paddle surf route, we'll head to Praia da Marinha, where you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to sunbathe, take a refreshing dip in the sea, and walk along the shore. Did you know this beach is considered one of the prettiest beaches in the Algarve?
From this cove, we'll begin our journey back to the meeting point in Faro, where we'll conclude this 5.5-hour activity.
Additional Info
Starting August 10, by order of the maritime authorities, it will no longer be possible to disembark or stay on the beach inside the Benagil Cave. However, you can still access the area with paddleboards and take photos and videos from the water.
