At the time indicated, we'll meet at Schiena dell’Asino car park to start this incredible hiking tour that will take us around the fascinating landscapes around Etna and The Valle del Bove. Let's go!

Along the hike, we'll climb up to 1,970 metres (6,460 feet) above sea level following the Schiena dell’Asino path, one of the most famous and easiest routes in the Etna Natural Park. Ever wondered about the meaning of this path's name? You'll discover all these secrets and more!

As we climb, we'll discuss these volcanic lands in the east of Sicily and its hidden caves. Once we reach the highest point of the crater, we'll admire the Valle del Bove, characterised by volcanic ash. This lunar landscape will take your breath away!

After admiring these stunning views from above, we'll start our descent. Along the way, we'll see a huge black sand canal and Pythagoras Cave. Did you know that it's a tunnel formed by a lava river?

Finally, we'll end this hiking route at the starting point after a total of 3-4 hours.
