Herculaneum Virtual Reality Headset Experience
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet at the ticket office in Herculaneum, opposite the ancient Roman city's archaeological site which was covered by lava and ash during Vesuvius' eruption in 79 AD.
Here, we'll receive our tickets to Herculaneum as well as a virtual reality headset and an English audioguide. Then, you can explore the site on your own with these devices, which will allow you to discover the history of the ancient city in an immersive way.
The VR headset will allow you to see a 3D reconstruction of the ruins in Herculaneum. As you explore the site following the audioguide's explanations, you'll also see various holograms that recreate the life of the Romans at the time just before the eruption.
So, when you enter the baths, the Sacello degli Augustali and the Casa di Nettuno ed Anfitrite, the most important spots in Herculaneum, they'll come to life before your very eyes. The 3D reconstructions will amaze you!
At the end of the 2-hour immersive experience, you have to return your headset and audioguide. Then, you can visit the sites in Herculaneum that interested you the most at your own leisure.
