Herculaneum Guided Tour
At the indicated time we'll meet at the ticket office of the archaeological site of Herculaneum. After handing out tickets, we'll enter together to begin the visit to this ancient Roman city that was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
On this guided tour of Herculaneum, we'll discover what life was like in this city during the Ancient Roman Empire while admiring perfectly preserved buildings where time seems to have stopped. We'll see houses, temples, baths, taverns and even more than 300 skeletons of victims of the eruption.
In addition to the structure of the buildings themselves, you're sure to be struck by the large number of colorful frescoes that decorate the walls. We'll visit the seat of the Augustan Priests where Emperor Augustus was once worshipped, visit the Forum, check out a bakery and see the incredible mosaic of the house of Neptune and Amphitrite. You'll be left speechless!
After a two-hour visit, we'll say goodbye near the exit of the archaeological park of Herculaneum. If you wish, you can continue visiting the ruins on your own.
