Let's do some Wine Tasting at the Casa del Vino! We'll taste some delicious wines from Tenerife and sample some of the Canary Islands' incredible gastronomy in an elegant mansion in the municipality of El Sauzal. You'll also be able to choose the tasting experience that tickles your tastebuds the most.
Wine Tasting at the Casa del Vino
At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Casa del Vino. This spot is one of the best places for wine tourism in northern Tenerife, and a perfect example of 17th-century Canarian architecture. If we're lucky and it's a clear day, we might even be able to see Mount Teide!
As you stroll through the main courtyard, you'll come to the tasting room where you'll begin a wine tasting session at the Casa del Vino. You'll learn all about wines from Tenerife and their unique tones and aromas, as well as pairing them with a selection of typical tapas dishes.
After a 2-hour experience, we'll say our goodbyes. If you like, you can continue exploring the mansion on your own. You could wander around the vineyard garden and discover the varieties of grapes grown on the estate and visit the Wine Museum, where you'll find out even more about the history of Tenerife's wine industry.
Wine tasting
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from the tasting menus listed below. They include the following:
- 3 wines and 3 tapas dishes: includes a glass of red, a glass of white and a glass of rosé, plus four cheese wedges with toasted bread, almogrote and Tenerife honey.
- 4 wines and 5 tapas dishes: includes a glass of red, a glass of white, a glass of rosé and a sweet Malvasia. For lunch you'll have four cheese wedges with toasted bread, Tenerife honey, roasted leg, vegetable pate and almogrote.
- 5 wines and 7 tapas dishes: includes the same glasses of wine as the previous option and a glass of sparkling wine. For lunch, four cheese wedges with bread, Tenerife honey, roasted leg, almogrote, extra virgin olive oil from the island, vegetable pate and traditional pastries.
