Monje Winery Guided Tour & Wine Tasting
Monje Winery Guided Tour & Wine Tasting
At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Monje Winery, one of the most famous wineries in Northern Tenerife. Once we enter the premises, we'll start touring the vineyards and learning about all the secrets behind making the perfect glass of wine.
You'll receive a fascinating 45-minute tour during which you'll learn about the different parts of the Monje Winery, which was founded in 1956. We'll visit the barrel room, look at the different grape varieties grown in the vineyards and discuss the history of the Monje family. On clear days we'll even be able to see breathtaking views of El Teide and the Atlantic Ocean.
After the guided tour, we'll head to a tasting room to enjoy a selection of Canarian wines and cheeses. While you taste the different varieties, we'll show you how to draw out all the different notes and aromas from the wines. These wines are a unique Canarian delicacy, as they have been made from grapes grown in volcanic soil.
The wine tasting includes four glasses of wine; one white and three reds. In addition, you can enjoy fresh, smoked, semi-cured and cured white cheese from Tenerife, La Palma, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.
After 1 hour 30 minutes of touring and tasting, we'll say our goodbyes outside the winery.
