El Romeral Guided Visit
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Esparto Museum, the first stop we'll make on our guided tour of El Romeral.
The esparto grass culture offers a window into the lifestyles of Spanish families across various historical periods. Did you know that part of this museum is situated within a traditional Manchegan house dug into the earth? Naturally, it's been declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity site!
Then, we'll head over to the renowned Crestería Manchega, home to Spain's best-preserved windmill. We'll step inside and gaze up at the four iconic windmills of the Crestería, which mark the expansive plain, transporting us to the time of Don Quixote.
We'll make our way to the Ethnographic Museum, located inside a small subway house. Here we'll view different scenes and artifacts, exhibiting the way of life in the past.
Finally, after an hour of exploring history and culture, we'll bring the tour to an end.
