Discover the customs, traditions and gastronomy of the Argentinean culture of Patagonia on our Nibepo Aike Ranch Visit & Perito Moreno Boat Trip. You'll learn about local traditions and go on an unforgettable boat trip next to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll see you at your hotel in El Calafate and drive to the Nibepo Aike ranch. This famous ranch is located next to the Brazo Rico on the southern shore of Lake Argentino.

During our visit to this Patagonian ranch, we'll immerse ourselves in rural Argentine customs and traditions. First of all, we'll go to the shed where the sheep are kept to see a shearing demonstration. We'll then see some of the other tasks carried out by the gauchos.

These rural chores are sure to work up an appetite, so we'll get our energy back with a traditional Patagonian lunch. Our lunch will include roast lamb with salad, local wine and a dulce de leche crêpe. After lunch, we'll head to the shore of Lake Argentino to go on a boat ride on the Brazo Rico.

We'll step off the boat at Monedas Beach, where we'll take a gentle walk through a lenga beech forest. At the end of our walk, we'll find a viewpoint of the Perito Moreno Glacier which is only accessible on this excursion.

After admiring the breathtaking views, we'll return to the boat and sail along the south face of Perito Moreno. During the crossing, we'll enjoy a glass of whisky with ice from the glacier as well as some chocolates. We'll make another stop on dry land to see unparalleled views of this colossal ice giant from the Perito Moreno footbridges, which we'll access at a time when there'll be fewer visitors.

Finally, we'll sail towards the shore of Lake Argentino and drive back to El Calafate. Our arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 10 hours after pickup.
