Glacier National Park VIP Boat Excursion

  • 50 reviews | 767 travellers
Great! The service was magnificent, first in the van, then at the dock and of course on the boat. The staff was charming, competent and the guide was magnificent. The service for all meals was very good. The itinerary was incredible. The outward journey was complicated by the wind, orange alert, but the safety of the captain and his expertise made it more bearable. Afterwards everything improved, the sun shone wonderfully and we enjoyed it to the point of excitement, contemplating the glaciers and the lake. In short, a 10.

Description

At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate and take Provincial Route 11 towards the port for a boat tour of the famous Glacier National Park. An exciting VIP excursion awaits!

After a 45-kilometer ride in a private vehicle, we'll arrive at the pier of Puerto Punta Bandera. There, we'll climb to the top of the boat where the VIP area is located. Welcome to the Glacier National Park! The cruise will begin by entering the North Arm of the lake, crossing the Boca del Diablo (Devil's Mouth). Remember to bring your camera! We'll come across many icebergs throughout the route.

We'll then reach the great ice barrier, where we can admire the detachments of the Upsala Glacier, the largest and most impressive one in the park. The boat will be completely surrounded by massive blocks of ice! The cruise will continue along another channel of the lake, near the Heim, Peineta, Seco and Spegazzini glaciers. Did you know that the latter is the tallest glacier? You'll be left speechless!

Then, we'll disembark in front of this glacier to walk along Glacier Bay. The hike will take us to the Spegazzini refuge, where we'll have a delicious gourmet lunch in the exclusive Heim lounge of the Captain's Club while continuing to take in the stunning scenery. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available throughout the journey.

After lunch, you'll have an hour of free time to walk along the area's trails or visit one of the natural viewpoints - the views are incredible!

Finally, we'll meet back at the refuge to take the boat back to your hotel in El Calafate, about eight hours later.
