After picking you up from your hotel in El Calafate, we'll get into the jeeps and head to Cañadon del Arroyo Calafate, where we'll enjoy a 16-kilometer hike (about 10 miles) through the incredible landscapes of this area of Patagonia.
Then, we'll start the hiking tour along the Calafate creek bed. After several miles, we'll arrive at La Seccion, a natural area surrounded by hills nestled in the 25 de Mayo ranch.
During the hike through the canyons and streams of El Calafate, we'll discover the variety of wildlife that surrounds us. If we're lucky, we may spot river trout and native birds, such as eagles and condors. In addition, we'll admire the sea fossils that some of the geological formations along the way contain within.
Finally, we'll return to La Sección to recover our strength with a delicious traditional lunch. You'll enjoy lamb casserole with country bread, a cheese platter and chocolate mousse. Then, we'll hop back on the jeeps to return to your hotel in El Calafate.
