Esterházy Palace Tour
Esterházy Palace Tour
At the indicated time we'll meet at the entrance of the Esterházy Palace and begin our guided tour of the rooms and exhibitions housed in this summer residence in the Austrian town of Eisenstadt.
We'll walk through the rooms that formed the home of the Esterházy family while we tell you the story of its illustrious members- especially, the extraordinary personality of Melinda Esterházy.
Along the tour, we'll also see the variety of historical pieces and treasures of the Esterházy collection. In fact, this palace has the largest collection of neoclassical silverware in the world.
Another of the jewels you'll see during your guided tour of the Esterházy Palace is the Haydn Room, named after the composer Joseph Haydn, who worked for almost 40 years in the service of the family. In this baroque hall, built between 1663 and 1672, we'll tell you how parties and banquets were held and it's considered to be one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world!
After one hour, we'll end the guided tour at the entrance of the Esterházy Palace, where you can continue exploring the building on your own.
