Day 1: Eilat - Petra

Are you excited to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World? We'll collect you from your hotel in Eilat at the scheduled time and, from there, we'll leave Israel behind, as we make our way to the border with Jordan.

We'll enter the neighbouring country and in less than 2 hours we'll have arrived at our destination. Did you know that Petra served as the setting for the filming of one of the Indiana Jones movies? And has been declared a World Heritage Site? Or that its origins date back more than 2300 hundred years? You'll learn about all this and even more!

We'll take a guided tour of Petra recounting its passionate history and discovering the rise and fall of this old city that was once the capital of the Nabataean Civilisation. We'll learn about all of this as we admire the multitude of rock structures, such as the Treasury of Petra, the Royal Tombs and the theatre. Don't forget your camera!

That evening, we'll make our way to a local restaurant for dinner before you go and relax in Wadi Musa. We'll then return to the hotel and say our goodbyes until the following day.

Day 2: Petra - Eilat

Good morning! On the second day of the trip, we'll have breakfast in the hotel and then take you to Petra.

Once there, you'll be able to explore the site at your own pace. This way, you'll be able to visit the monuments that you didn't have the chance to see the day before, and if you have enough time, take lots of photos of the iconic Rose City. The Petra Monastery, the Great Temple, the columned street and the Djin blocks are some of the places that you'll get to discover.

That evening, we'll hop back on the coach and begin our return journey back to Israel. Finally, we'll arrive back at the hotel in Eilat at around 8 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes a night of accommodation with breakfast at the 3-star Venus Petra Hotel or at the 4-star Sella Hotel Petra, whichever you'd prefer. In both cases, the accommodation will consist of double rooms in the town of Wadi Musa. In the case that there's no space available in either of these hotels, we'll stay in hotels similar to the category chosen by you.

1-Day Trip to Petra

Would you prefer a shorter trip? In this case, book the 1-day Petra trip, a more intense tour but one that will allow you to return to Eilat at 8 pm on the same day. This option includes admission to the archaeological site, a guide and lunch.
