At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the visitor centre of the Edzna archaeological site. From there, we'll start our guided tour of one of the most important Mayan cities in Mexico.
First we'll learn some facts about this ancient city from the Classic period. We'll hear about its pioneering technology in hydraulic works and visit the stelae museum, where we'll see some monolithic monuments and learn about the customs, traditions and culture of this indigenous civilisation.
Afterwards we'll visit Edzna's most important monuments, including Casa Grande, the main courtyard, and the ball court, flanked by two imposing structures. What's more, an impressive stepped pyramid with five stories and crested tops is sure to attract your attention.
Finally, after an hour and a half of sightseeing, the guided tour of Edzna will end at the starting point.
Tour With Lunch
With this option, after your guided tour of Edzna, you'll enjoy a delicious traditional lunch in the indigenous community of Uzahzil, where you'll get to taste their local delicacies.
Uzahzil is located a 20 minute walk away, or you can drive if you have your own vehicle, whichever you prefer. The tour with lunch lasts approximately two hours. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by members of the community.
