Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau and Ana Te Pahu Private Tour
Description
After picking you up from your accommodation at the time indicated, we'll start our route where we'll visit Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau and Ana Te Pahu. We'll discover 3 of the biggest attractions on Easter Island.
We'll start our journey by heading into the mysterious world of the Rapa Nui Caves. Here, we'll enter the impressive Ana Te Pahu, a cave approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) long.
These ancient caves were a refuge and home for the old inhabitants of Rapa Nui. Did you know that this is the native name of the island? Here, we'll discover some fascinating cave paintings and protected areas as we learn about the rich history of Easter Island.
Our next stop will be in Ahu Akivi, a sacred place where we'll find 7 famous Moai sculptures. Legend has it that they pay homage to the explorers who discovered Rapa Nui, who departed from the island of Hiva. We'll tell you all about the first inhabitants of this land!
We'll continue this private tour to Puna Pau, a small crater where the pukaos are forged. Do you know what they are? These enigmatic headdresses formed from volcanic rock can still be seen on the heads of some of the Moais. Here, we'll learn the ancestral technique used in the creation of these unique pieces that adorn the giant rocks on the island.
After a total of 3-5 hours tour, we'll drop you back off at your hotel.
