Montenegro Tour + Boat Ride
Montenegro Boat Ride
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Dubrovnik. We'll board a bus and take a tour around the city before joining the road that connects Croatia and Montenegro.
As we travel, we'll discuss the history of both these countries after their separation from Yugoslavia. We'll cross the border at the town of Konavle, the agricultural centre of the region. You'll see an infinity of vineyards! Then, we'll make a brief pause to relax before continuing the journey to Zelenika.
During the second part of the drive, we'll pass by Igalo, a town famous for its hot springs and for being where Marshal Tito used to go on numerous occasions in search of its healing properties. Upon arrival in Zelenika, we'll get off the bus and board a boat that will take us around the coast of Montenegro.
We'll sail in a traditional wooden boat and enjoy an aperitif of ham, cheese and fruit. All of this will be accompanied by water, soft drinks and beer. Yummy! Of course, we'll also enjoy the beautiful scenery around the Bay of Kotor.
The first stop from the boat will be at Our Lady of the Rocks. We'll drop anchor and have free time to explore this small artificial island full of history. In addition, if you want, you can visit the museum and church.
We'll return to the boat and continue sailing to Koto Port. Here, we'll take a guided tour by foot to explore this walled city that is a World Heritage Site. We'll uncover its history and see the footprints that have been left by the numerous civilisations that have roamed these streets.
Finally, you'll have free time to continue exploring the town and having lunch at a restaurant. From Kotor, we'll take the bus back to Dubrovnik, where we'll end this tour at your hotel 8-10 hours after initial pickup.
