Immerse yourself in the unique beauty of the Bay of Kotor and its stunning coastal towns, exploring the pearls of the Montenegrin Adriatic Coast on this day trip from Dubrovnik.
Montenegro Coast Day Trip Itinerary
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Dubrovnik in the early morning, ready to head southeast through the green fields and mountains of the Konavle Valley towards Croatia's border with Montenegro.
We'll cross the border by bus to Lepetane. Once on the other side of the Verige Strait, we'll arrive in the majestic Bay of Kotor. The sparkling blue water, surrounded by dramatic mountains, is often called Europe's southernmost fjord. You'll be captivated by the spectacular natural scenery, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions on the Adriatic Sea.
Then, we'll continue our 1 hour and 45-minute route north of the bay to visit the quaint waterfront village of Perast, a town with a total of 16 churches. Here, you'll have free time to get lunch or to take a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks Island.
Back on the road, we'll drive for another short 20 minutes to cross through picturesque coastal towns before arriving in the city that gives the bay its name. We'll embark on a guided tour of Kotor, a World Heritage Site famous for its Medieval fortifications, the Kampana Tower and Citadel, and for the historic St. Trifun Cathedral. Travel back in time as you hear the stories and see the heritage of the town under Roman, Venetian, Austro-Hungarian and Yugoslavian rule...
From here, we'll start our 2-hour route back to Dubrovnik, where we'll arrive 10 to 12 hours after initial pickup.
Hotel Pickup
This tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off if your hotel is outside the old city of Dubrovnik. If you're staying in the old city, we'll send you a meeting point near your hotel.
