Korčula Island Day Trip Itinerary
Depending on where you're staying, we'll either pick you up at your hotel or meet you at the agreed meeting point at the appointed time. We'll head northwest to the Orebić Peninsula. On the journey there, during which the guide will tell us about the area's history, we'll make a stop in Ston to marvel at the second longest wall in the world.
From Ston, we'll continue towards the Port of Orebić aboard a comfortable boat. After a short journey, we'll come to today's main destination: Korčula, the sixth biggest island in the Adriatic. Once we've arrived at the port of the city, which is the capital of the island of the same name, you'll have 3 hours of free time. You can spend this time exploring its cobbled streets lined with picturesque terracotta-roofed houses, immersing yourself in the incredible Medieval charm of its historic city walls and defensive towers.
Strolling around Korčula, you'll be met with a number of different homages to the famed explorer Marco Polo, who - according to legend - was born right here on this Croatian island. You'll soon reach the impressive façade of St Mark's Cathedral, one of the most important buildings in the Old Town and famous for being home to two paintings by Tintoretto.
After your self-guided visit of Korčula, during which you'll also have free time to get some lunch, we'll take the boat back to Orebić. From there, we'll explore the peninsula of Pelješac by bus and spot the numerous vineyards to which wines from the area of Potomje owe their fame. So you can learn more about the areea's wines, we'll visit a local winery and even try one of their products. Cheers!
Having enjoyed the visit to the winery in Potomje in the peninsula of Pelješac, we'll head back to Dubrovnik.
