Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Burren, & Galway Day Trip
Day Trip to Ireland's West Coast: What to Expect
After meeting up at the Molly Malone Statue in Dublin at 6:50 am, we'll board a comfortable coach and venture out into the Irish countryside, passing the Guinness Factory, Kilmainham Jail, and Curragh horseracing track along the way. As we head west towards the Cliffs of Moher, the famous countryside of the Emerald Isle will reveal its vast and beautiful landscapes, picturesque villages, and striking castle ruins.
The Cliffs of Moher
Reaching the Cliffs of Moher, you'll be instantly captivated by the breathtaking views. Measuring 214m (702 feet) at their highest point, we'll walk along the path which runs along the rugged sea cliffs and marvel and the beauty of the Irish coastline. We'll also stop off at the interactive Visitor Centre, where we'll get to see the wonderous caves which lie underneath the cliffs, on a multimedia screen.
Doolin Village
Next, we'll make our way to the charming village of Doolin—known for its traditional Irish music. While we're here, you'll have some free time to grab yourself some lunch in a local pub and look out at the Aran Islands in the distance.
The Burren
After eating, we'll next make our way to The Burren—an area with one of the most unique and beautiful landscapes in Ireland. While the majority of the island is known for its wonderful green colours, the rocky Burren is characterised by its various shades of Grey, creating a moon-like landscape. While we're here, we'll enjoy a coastal walk and enjoy the unique scenery and beautiful native vegetation.
Galway City
Our next stop will be Galway—a historic city filled with cobblestone streets, historic castles, and talented live musicians. Discover remnants of the Medieval town walls as you explore the charming streets of the so-called City of Tribes!
Return Journey to Dublin
At the end of this unforgettable full-day tour, we'll make the return journey to Dublin, and you'll be dropped off on Dame Street in the city centre around 7:30 pm. Expect jolly commentary, anecdotes, and some Irish music to keep you entertained on the road back to the capital. Slán go fóill!
