Giant's Causeway, Titanic Experience & Belfast Tour
Giant's Causeway, Titanic Experience & Belfast Tour
After meeting in Dublin city centre, you'll set off on your full-day trip to Northern Ireland's most popular tourist attractions. As you travel north, your expert guide will entertain you with fascinating tales of Irish myths, legends and history - which are fact and which are fiction?
You'll make your first stop at the ancient ruins of Dunluce Castle. The crumbling Medieval fortress is built onto dramatic cliffs overlooking the sea making it the perfect photo opportunity.
Not far from the castle, you'll reach the iconic basalt columns of the Giant's Causeway. Formed over 50 million years ago due to volcanic activity, these incredible hexagonal rock shapes are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Local legend attributes their creation to the Irish giant Finn McCool attempting to build a bridge over to Scotland.
Delve deeper into the mysticism of Northern Ireland on your next stop at the Dark Hedges. You might recognise the ominous beech-tree covered lane from scenes in Game of Thrones. Planted over 300 years ago to create an imposing effect on the approach to an old house, the road is the subject of many creepy ghost stories.
Arriving in Belfast, you'll head to the Titanic Museum, a state-of-the-art exhibition located on the site of the old shipyard where the infamous ocean liner was built. Discover the story of the Titanic, from her construction to launch and the ill-fated end to her maiden voyage, thanks to its interactive rides, full-scale replicas of the ship and films with special effects.
Having experienced much of historic Northern Ireland, turn your eye now to modern Belfast, as you explore the vibrant city. You'll have around an hour here to relax, shop and eat before your journey back to Dublin. You'll be dropped off back at the meeting point between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
