2 Day Desert Sahara Trip

Day 1: Djerba – Douz – Sahara

Beautiful, huge dunes, unforgettable sunsets, and incredible starry night skies. Get ready to experience the iconic Sahara desert. We will pick you up from your hotel in Djerba at 9 am before setting off in an all-terrain jeep. As we cross through the arid landscapes of the stunning Jebil National Park, we will see wonderful exotic wildlife, such as gazelles, phoenix foxes, and oryx antelopes, in their natural habitat.

We will make a stop near the desert town of Douz to visit a Bedouin camp. Here, you will share a delicious traditional lunch with a nomadic community comprising four tasty local dishes and a mint tea. In the afternoon, while the sun tints the desert dunes in a scarlet glow, we will admire majestic flacons in full flight.

This fantastic day finishes at a luxury camp of haimas tents, where we have dinner under the starry night sky. You will be amazed by the complete silence and lack of artificial light, a million miles from the modern world.

Day 2: Sahara – Douz – Djerba

We will have breakfast in the haima camp while watching the wonderful sunrise over the Sahara desert. Then, feeling energized, we will board the jeep and set off to explore other areas of Douz we haven't seen yet.

Finally, our brilliant adventure comes to an end and we return to Djerba and drop you at your hotel at around 2 pm.

Accommodation

You will spend one night in the Sahara desert at the Saharansky Luxury Camp. This campsite has a dozen luxury tents (called haimas) equipped with a double bed and fireplace. There are also several shared bathrooms with showers and toilets.
