8-Day Golden Triangle + Ranthambore Tour
Description
Day 1: Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi airport, our team will greet you at the arrivals terminal. From there, we'll transfer you to your hotel, where you'll stay for the next two nights. After you've settled in, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Day 2: Delhi
After having breakfast at the hotel, our journey will lead us to the heart of India's capital city. Our first stop will be at the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in the country. Following that, we'll proceed to the Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Beforehand, we'll pause in front of the awe-inspiring Red Fort to capture its magnificent architecture.
Continuing our exploration, we'll embark on a panoramic sightseeing tour of the government buildings lining the Raj Path, culminating at the majestic India Gate. A well-deserved break for lunch will follow, allowing you to savor a tasty local meal.
In the afternoon, our journey will take us to the Sikh Temple, renowned for its golden dome, and the historic Qutub Minar. As the day winds down, we'll return to the hotel, where you can have dinner and rest.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
Our day will start with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, giving us energy for our journey southwest. After an approximately 4-hour drive, we'll arrive in Jaipur, famously referred to as the "Pink City" of India.
In the afternoon, our explorations will take us to the Patrika Gate, followed by a photo stop in front of the magnificent Albert Hall Palace. Lastly, we will guide you to the Birla Temple, where you'll experience a truly remarkable event: an Aarti ceremony, a renowned fire ritual that is sure to captivate you. Our day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 4: Jaipur - Amber Fort - Jaipur
In the morning, following breakfast, we'll journey to the town of Amber to explore one of India's most renowned treasures: the Amber Fort, majestically perched atop a hill.
After our visit to the fort, we'll return to Jaipur. Once there, we'll proceed to the Maharaja's Palace, an 18th-century marvel. Our adventure will then take us inside its museums before continuing to the Jai Singh Observatory. We'll also indulge in a delightful lunch. The day will culminate with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur - Ranthambore National Park
After breakfast, we'll set off on a journey to Ranthambore National Park, situated approximately 180 kilometers (111 miles) to the north of Jaipur, renowned for its starring role in tiger conservation efforts through Project Tiger. It's important to note that the National Park is closed from July 1 to September 30.
Upon arrival at this untamed haven, we'll make our way to the heart of the park, the Ranthambore Fort. Dating back to the 10th century, it's arguably the oldest fort in Rajasthan and offers awe-inspiring panoramic views of the national park from above. As the tour concludes, we'll proceed to the tiger reserve hotel, allowing time for a leisurely lunch and well-deserved rest until the following day.
Day 6: Ranthambore National Park
Our sixth day of the tour promises an exhilarating adventure: two safaris in Ranthambore National Park, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. To ensure a safe and enriching experience, we'll convene with our seasoned guides who will provide essential safety guidelines. Boarding our 4x4 vehicles, we'll navigate through this expansive park, spanning over 390 square kilometers (96,371 acres) and bounded by the Chambal and Banas rivers, in search of the elusive Bengal tiger!
En route, we'll have the opportunity to marvel at these majestic tigers in their natural habitat and encounter other fascinating wildlife, including leopards, wild boars, crocodiles, monkeys, gazelles, antelopes, and lizards. Did you know that this pristine area was once the hunting grounds of the maharajas of Jaipur?
Upon concluding our safari, we'll return to the hotel to have dinner and rest.
Day 7: Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, our journey will take us to Fatehpur Sikri, the former imperial capital that, despite its historical grandeur, was ultimately abandoned due to water scarcity. This preserved gem is a place seemingly frozen in time. Subsequently, we'll make our way to Agra, a city that, alongside Delhi, once served as the capital of the illustrious Mughal dynasty.
We'll leave you time for lunch in Agra before visiting one of India's most iconic landmarks: the Taj Mahal, a masterpiece recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world. Standing gracefully along the banks of the Yamuna River, this majestic mausoleum embodies one of the most profound expressions of love in history.
We'll then head back to the hotel in Agra to rest.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi
On the last day, after breakfast, we'll depart from the hotel to explore yet another of Agra's significant landmarks: the Red Fort, India's largest fort. Then, we'll return to the hotel to collect our luggage and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Our journey will then continue to Delhi airport, marking the conclusion of our expedition.
