7-day Luxury Tour in Oberoi Hotels
7-day Luxury Tour in Oberoi Hotels
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
When you land in Delhi, we'll be waiting for you at the airport arrivals terminal to take you to The Oberoi Hotel, the first luxury hotel built in the capital and where you'll be staying for the next 2 nights. You'll have the rest of the day free to rest and settle in.
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll depart for downtown Delhi. There, we'll visit the Jamma Masjid, the largest mosque in the country. In addition, we'll take you to the Raj Ghat, a beautiful park where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, and the India Gate, where the names of the Indian soldiers who died in World War I are inscribed.
We'll also see the Sikh temple and, of course, the Qutub Minar, one of the oldest monuments in the capital, built in 1199! Did you know that its minaret is the tallest in the world? Finally, we'll return to the hotel to rest until the next day.
Day 3: Samode Palace & Jaipur
First, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast and then leave the Indian capital behind to head towards Jaipur. On the way, we'll stop for lunch at Samode Palace, an impressive 18th-century building. There, we'll see its spectacular "Hall of Mirrors", a perfect example of the wealth of the maharajas.
Then, we'll continue our journey to Jaipur, known as the "pink city" due to the color of the sandstone with which most of the old city was built. Upon arrival, we'll take you directly to the Oberoi Rajvillas Hotel, where you'll stay for the next 2 nights. The hotel is built around an ancient Shiva temple and its style is reminiscent of the princely life in the capital of Rajasthan – you'll feel like a true maharaja!
Day 4: Amber Fort & Jaipur
Rise and shine! We'll have breakfast at the hotel in Jaipur and then depart for Amber Fort, which is half an hour away. This palace complex was erected by the Mughal emperors to defend the citadel and is known for its great size and beauty.
We'll then return to Jaipur and visit the Maharaja's Palace, inside which we'll be delighted with its lush gardens and the display of carpets and other pieces that belonged to the maharajas. Then we'll enter the Jantar Mantar, the famous astronomical observatory. Before returning to the hotel, we'll also see the impressive facade of the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds.
Day 5: Jaipur
This day, you'll have the whole day at leisure to relax at the Oberoi Rajvillas Hotel, an oasis in the middle of the pink city. In addition to enjoying all the luxuries of your accommodation, you'll also witness a traditional Hindu ceremony.
Day 6: Agra
Early in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we'll embark on a journey to the east. The destination of the day? Agra.
As soon as we arrive in the city, we'll take you to the Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel. This will be the last accommodation of the tour. You'll be fascinated by its architecture, which seems to be inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. You'll be impressed by the view of the Taj Mahal that you'll be able to enjoy from your room. Unbeatable!
In the afternoon, we'll visit the Red Fort, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983. This fortress, which is accessed through an imposing gate, was built under the order of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Did you know that it was the base of operations of the Mughal power?
We recommend that you take advantage of this evening to enjoy dinner on your own at the hotel with the silhouette of the moonlit Taj Mahal as a backdrop – a unique experience!
Day 7: Taj Mahal & return to Delhi
Before the first rays of sunlight begin to bathe the Taj Mahal, we'll leave the hotel and take you to discover this amazing monument, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
This huge mausoleum was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan and was a token of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. This grand white marble structure will captivate you, leaving no doubt as to why it's one of the most famous buildings in the world!
After the visit, we'll return to the hotel for breakfast and pickup our bags. From there, we'll return to Delhi, where we'll drop you off at the airport or at your hotel and end the tour.
