Nitmiluk National Park & Boat Cruise
Nitmiluk National Park & Boat Cruise
We'll pick you up at the time indicated from the meeting point in Darwin that you selected and head to Nitmiluk National Park, around 250 kilometres (155 miles) away. The bus will take us along Stuart road, one of Australia's most famous roads, where we'll admire the impressive views of the Northern Territory.
Halfway along the journey, we'll stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, dedicated to those who died in the Northern Territory during the Second World War. Then we'll continue on to Nitmiluk Park.
We'll enter its rugged landscapes, starting from the Katherine River Gorge and Edith Falls. Then stop in front of the waterfalls, enjoying their landscape and discovering the legends of the Jawoyn people, whose inhabitants are the guardians of the park.
After eating a delicious buffet outdoors, we'll continue our tour of Nitmiluk National Park and see the photographs, Aboriginal artefacts and videos at the Visitor Centre.
The final stop on the tour will be a boat cruise along Katherine Gorge. For two hours, you'll see the varying contrasts around the Nitmiluk landscape and the many animals including crocodiles and birds.
We'll return to Darwin after 14 hours touring this area of Northern Australia.
