Damajagua Waterfalls Buggy Tour
Damajagua Waterfalls Buggy Tour
Having met up at 8 am at the Damajagua River Visitor Centre, we'll hop into our buggy and set off on our quest to discover the famous Damajagua Waterfalls. We'll also explore the southern part of the province of Puerto Plata. If you've never driven a buggy before, don't worry! A professional instructor will teach you how to drive them.
The tour will take us through palm groves, farmland and villages as we drive through the Dominican jungle trails at high speed. We'll also make several stops to cool off with a fresh coconut drink and a cocktail or a beer, as well as taking dips in the river beaches.
As we travel between 6 and 9 miles (10 and 15 kilometres), we'll find ourselves at the Damajagua Waterfalls. These 27 waterfalls enchant all who visit, and we'll explore them by driving to different panoramic viewpoints so you can admire the waterfalls in all their glory.
After a delicious buffet lunch in one of the restaurants of the Damajagua Waterfalls, we'll drive the buggies through different communities in Puerto Plata. First of all, we'll visit Bellaco on the banks of the Bajabonico River. We'll make the most of our stop here to pick some fruit. Next, we'll drive to the communities of Bajabonico Arriba, Palmar Grande and Los Felix, where we'll see the locals' way of life.
Following a final stop for a swim in the Bajabonico River, we'll return to the starting point and finish the tour at 2 pm.
