This trip to the Saloum Delta National Park is the ideal way to discover Senegal's stunning natural beauty. You'll even take an amazing ride in a motorized canoe!
Saloum Delta Private Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Dakar, we'll head southeast toward the Saloum Delta. Arriving at the small fishing of Ndangane, you'll stop on the banks of the river, where a motorized canoe will be waiting for you. These amazing vessels are the typical form of transport for inhabitants in this area.
Once we're aboard our boats, we'll take a ride along the beautiful Saloum Delta, in which the Sine and Saloum rivers converge and flow into the Atlantic Ocean. As we cruise downstream, we'll admire the magical landscapes filled with mangrove swamps and palm trees. You'll also see various species of exotic birds such as magnificent pelicans.
Later, we make a stop so you can take your own time to have something to eat in one of the park's restaurants, where you can try the delicious traditional Senegalese cooking. Rested and recharged, we'll head to a Niominkas village. This tribe is related to the Serer ethnic group and they live on the islands found along the river dedicating their lives to fishing.
Our trip to the Saloum Delta finishes back in Dakar where we drop you back at your hotel 11 or 12 hours after the start of the day trip.
