Discover the rich history and culture of the Sacred Valley and Cusco on this tour of the archaeological locations in Písac, Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo and Tambomachay. What's not to love?
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to then make our way to Písac, where we'll arrive after an hour-long journey.
We'll begin our adventure by visiting this town. We'll walk along the picturesque streets, taking in the local artisan stalls and exploring its famous market. Before leaving, we'll take a guided tour of the Písac archaeological park, one of the important sites in the Sacred Valley.
On the way back to Cusco, we'll stop off at the Taray Viewpoint to get some amazing views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You'll be amazed by the amount of terraces in the area!
Next, we'll take a tour of the ruins around Cusco. We'll visit Sacsayhuamán, a ceremonial fort of stone monuments. Then, we'll make our way to Q'enqo, a ritual site where sacrifices once took place. We'll also explore Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to worshipping the God of Water.
Lastly, we'll enjoy a panoramic view of Puka-Pukará, an ancient tambo or guard post along the Inca roads.
Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the hotels back in Cusco after a total of 6 hours together.
