Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco
Peruvian Cooking Class
At the time indicated, we'll meet at Plaza Regocijo, in the heart of Cusco, where we'll start this Peruvian food experience.
Our first stop is a local market, where we'll taste all kinds of fruits, breads, and cheeses typical of the region. We'll stroll through the colorful stalls, picking out the best ingredients for our Peruvian cooking workshop
Next, we'll head to the kitchen to prepare three Peruvian dishes and a pisco-based drink. During the class, we'll learn about the ingredients and traditional techniques that make Peruvian cuisine so highly regarded worldwide.
You will be able to choose from the following dishes:
- Quinoa with huancaína sauce: a quinoa salad with avocado and mango, accompanied by a yellow chili sauce, nuts, milk, and cheese.
- Stuffed Rocoto: chili stuffed with meat, onion, peas, carrots, peanuts and raisins.
- Ceviche: the famous Peruvian dish prepared with fish, lemon juice, onion, celery, ginger, and sweet potato.
- Lomo saltado: another typical dish with meat, rice, onion, tomato, and soy sauce.
- Pisco sour: Peru's emblematic drink, it can be the traditional lemon-based preparation or a passion fruit variation.
If you have any food preferences or special dietary needs, don't worry. You can let us know when you book, and we'll accommodate you.
