Horse Riding to Moon Temple and Chacan Mountain
Horse Riding to Moon Temple and Chacan Mountain
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco before taking a 20-minute minibus ride to the ranch, located in Huayllarcocha. Then it's time for us to start our unforgettable horse riding experience in the mountains of Cusco.
We'll greet our friendly fellow travelers, the horses, and then climb on their backs and ride through the stunning Peruvian countryside. We'll admire these amazing landscapes as we head to the iconic Temple of the Moon, the first stop on this horseback tour.
This sacred place was used to perform Incan ceremonies and offerings, especially during the nights of the full moon. The guide will tell us some of the fascinating stories about the temple.
We'll then continue the horse ride in the direction of the Balcon del Diablo, where we'll find an ancient cave also considered sacred to the Incas. Here, we'll take the opportunity to listen to the stories that the guide will tell us about this mysterious place.
There, we'll also find Chacan Mountain, passing through some picturesque Andean communities along the way. From the mountain top, you'll enjoy impressive views of Cusco.
Finally, we'll replenish our energy with a tasty snack before returning on horseback to the ranch. There, we'll say goodbye to our new horse friends and drop you off at your hotel around 3.5 hours later.
