Cusco, Laguna Humantay & Machu Picchu 4-Day Trip

Day 1: Cusco

When you land at Cusco airport, we'll be waiting to take you to the hotel where we'll stay during the 4-day circuit. Once there, you'll get set up in your room and rest before taking a guided tour of Cusco at 1 pm, during which we'll visit some of the most important archaeological complexes of the ancient Inca capital.

We'll pass by the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, and the Church of Santo Domingo. We'll also visit Coricancha, or Temple of the Sun, and the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, all of which are located on the outskirts of the historical center of Cusco.

Day 2: Laguna Humantay

We'll pick you up from the hotel first thing in the morning and head towards the town of Mollepata, where a delicious breakfast will be waiting for us. Then, feeling energized, we continue our journey to Soraypampa where we begin a fantastic 1.5-hour hike towards Laguna Humantay, a lake located more than 13,000 feet above sea level in the heart of the Andes mountains.

This impressive glacial lake of surreal turquoise waters is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Peru. When we arrive, you'll have free time to take a stroll and capture these beautiful landscapes before we return to Mollepata for a well-deserved lunch.

We return to Cusco at around 7 pm.

Day 3: Machu Picchu

Around 4 am, we'll be at the hotel to pick you up and start an hour-and-a-half bus trip to Ollantaytambo. Once there, we head to the station to board the train which crosses the green landscapes of the Andean foothills to the town of Aguas Calientes.

From there we catch a bus to one of the wonders of the world: Machu Picchu. As we take a guided tour through the ruins of the most famous Inca citadel on the planet, you'll learn all about its fascinating history and legends. You'll also find out why it's one of the most photographed spots in the world.

We'll visit the main square, the circular tower, the sacred sundial, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries.

After discovering the "lost city", we'll take you back to Aguas Calientes, where you'll have free time to buy some lunch before catching the train back to Ollantaytambo and then a bus to Cusco.

Day 4: Cusco

On the last day, you'll have free time to have breakfast in the hotel in Cusco until we pick you up and take you to the airport.
