Inca Jungle 3 or 4-Day Trek

When making your booking, you'll be able to choose a 3 or 4-day trek. For both activities, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time:

3-Day Tour

Day 1: Cusco - Santa María - Santa Teresa

At 6 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and set off on our bus to the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas.

On the way, we'll pass by Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo where, after making a brief stop, we'll head to the Puerto de Málaga. Once we've reached this point, which towers at an altitude of almost 14,300 feet (4,350 metres), we'll embark on a 3-hour bike tour to Wamanmarca.

After our cycling route, we'll hop on a minibus and head to Santa María and then, from there, to Santa Teresa. Here, you'll be able to relax in their hot springs and have a delicious lunch. We'll cap off our first day by having dinner and then getting some rest at a nearby hotel.

Day 2: Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes

After breakfast with a good "valley coffee", you can go on an optional zipline circuit. We'll then take a 3-hour walk to the village of Hidroeléctrica, where we'll have lunch. Afterwards, we'll continue for another 3 hours along the train tracks, observing the flora and fauna found in this area.

At around 5 pm, we'll arrive at a lodge in the village of Aguas Calientes, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

After breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes, and according to the schedule of the entrances, we'll make our way to Machu Picchu. You'll also have the option of taking the bus to get to the access gate of Machu Picchu.

If you bought your ticket to Huayna Picchu in advance, you'll be able to climb this mountain. We'll then take a 2-hour tour of the Machu Picchu Archaeological Site.

Finally, we'll return to Aguas Calientes where you'll be able to have lunch on your own. We'll then take the train or the bus, depending on your booking, to Ollantaytambo. From there, we'll take you back to Regocijo Square in Cusco by bus. We should arrive back here in the late afternoon. Arrival will be according to the entrance time to Machu Picchu and according to the train ticket from Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo.

4-Day Tour

Day 1: Cusco - Santa María

At 6 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and set off for Ollantaytambo. Once we've arrived, we'll ascend the Malaga Pass and then head to a lodge in Santa María where you'll have lunch, dinner and a good night's sleep.

Day 2: Santa María - Santa Teresa

After a tasty breakfast in the lodge in Santa María, we'll walk across the Vilcanota River using its foot bridge.

We'll then have lunch in a local family home before heading to the Cocalmayo open-air hot spring pools. After a relaxing dip, we'll go to the village of Santa Teresa to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes

Good morning! We'll have breakfast at the lodge in Santa Teresa and take a 2-hour guided walk to the banks of the Urubamba River. After strolling across the footbridge, we'll go to the village of Hidroeléctrica for lunch.

Depending on your booking, we'll travel to Aguas Calientes from Hidroeléctrica by train or on foot. If we hop on a train, it'll only take around 45 minutes. If we walk, it'll take around 2 hours.

Once we've arrived in Aguas Calientes, we'll go to a local hotel to have dinner and get some rest.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu

Depending on when our entrance time is to Machu Picchu, we'll set off on our hike up to Machu Picchu, which will take around 2 hours and 30 minutes. You also have the option of heading to the Lost City of the Incas by bus, which will take 25 minutes.

When we reach Machu Picchu, we'll take a 2-hour 30-minute guided tour around its magnificent archaeological site. You'll then have the rest of the morning free to visit Huayna Picchu, the Temple of the Moon and other sites in the area on your own.

In the afternoon, you'll return to Aguas Calientes either on foot or by bus, arriving 30 minutes before the departure time of the train that'll take you back to the city of Cusco.
