Visit a family farm in Huayopata and learn about the production of coffee or chocolate in the middle of the Peruvian jungle on our 2-day private tour.
Description
Day 1
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off for Huayopata. During the journey, we'll cross the Sacred Valley of the Incas along the Abra Malaga route and reach 4300 metres above sea level. The views will take your breath away!
At midday, we'll arrive at the family farm of Huayopata, where we'll be welcomed by the owners and offered a complete homemade lunch. With our batteries recharged, we'll start to learn all about the daily work carried out on the farm to produce chocolate and coffee.
When you book, you can select which product you'd like to know more about: chocolate or coffee. In both cases, you'll get the chance to participate in the entire process of harvesting, production and final tasting!
After the guided tour, we'll have dinner with the family and stay the night on the farm.
Day 2
Our day will begin with a delicious traditional breakfast before saying goodbye to the family and making our way back to your hotel.
Accommodation
This tour includes one night's accommodation in a double room with a private bathroom. If you book the coffee tour, you'll stay at the Hilario Perez farm. If you book the cocoa tour, you'll stay at the Julia Guerra y José farm.
