Ausangate 7 Lagoons Hiking Excursion
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:30 and 5 am and drive to the village of Tinki.
Then, we'll continue to Pacchanta for a tasty breakfast. Once we've had something to eat, we'll set off on a hike through the Nevado Ausangate and its 7 turquoise lagoons. Off we go!
We'll start walking through the Vilcanota mountain range and discovering the stunning landscapes around the Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Tike and Ausangate peaks. The latter is the sixth-largest mountain in Peru and has an elevation of almost 21,000 feet (6,384 metres). While we walk, we'll come across llamas, alpacas, viscachas and, with a bit of luck, the majestic Andean condor.
As we make our way higher and higher, we'll stop at the lakes of Azul Cocha, Pucacocha, Sibinacocha, Otorongo, Alcacocha and Comercocha. We'll also stop at a small lake in a unique location - look out for the dazzling colour of the water!
After taking a short break, we'll descend back down to Pacchanta where you'll have 1 hour of free time to relax in the hot springs. Once we've reconvened, we'll get our energy back with a lunch consisting of traditional dishes.
Following a day full of adventure, we'll head back to Cusco and drop you off near the main square around 7 pm.
