Description
Day 1: Cusco - Aguas Calientes
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a short 2-hour drive to the Ollantaytambo train station.
We'll step aboard the train and take another short 1.5-hour journey to Aguas Calientes. We'll enjoy a scenic route with a beautiful Andes mountain range landscape during the train ride. Don't forget to take photos!
As we arrive at our hotel in Aguas Calientes, you can drop off your luggage and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening exploring the surrounding area.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Good morning, Cusco! We'll enjoy breakfast at the hotel and hop on a bus to reach the famed citadel, Machu Picchu. Once at the site, we'll enjoy a 2.5-hour tour that will take us to prominent Incan sites like the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, and the Royal Residence.
Then, you'll have 30 minutes of free time to continue exploring the archaeological site at your own pace. You can also take advantage of the time and hike up the nearby Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountains. These spots offer privileged views of the lost Incan city.
Finally, we'll bring you back to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch before catching the train back to Ollantaytambo. From here, we'll bring you back to your hotel in Cusco by bus.

Departure Stations & Duration
Trains to and from Cusco can operate from either Poroy station (30 minutes from Cusco) or Ollantaytambo station (1.5 hours from Cusco), depending on availability. During the rainy season (December to March) Poroy station is closed, so we'll go by bus to Ollantaytambo. We'll send you an email once your booking is confirmed indicating the exact pickup time from your hotel and the station from where you'll take the train.
