Day Trip to Chapada dos Guimarães
We'll start the tour by meeting at the designated time on São Sebastião Avenue in Cuiabá and then head towards Chapada dos Guimarães National Park. After an hour's drive, we'll reach the Salgadeira area, known for its waterfalls, streams, and colossal sandstone walls. Here, we'll stop to admire the scenery before embarking on a short half-kilometer (0.3-mile) trail to reach the Velo da Noiva waterfall, one of the main attractions of Chapada dos Guimarães.
Then, we'll head to Morro dos Ventos restaurant for lunch, which includes salads, rice, beans, farofa, chicken, ribs, and a portion of Maria Isabel, a typical dish made with rice and beef. After lunch, we'll visit the Morro dos Ventos viewpoint, offering an incredible panoramic view of the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park.
Our next stop is the historic center of the city of Chapada dos Guimarães, where we can explore the typical handicraft stores of the Midwest region of Brazil. Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Cuiabá, where we'll arrive after a total of 9 hours.
